Nice, BORING win. I suppose I'd like rather have that than an exciting loss. We did NOT play great. But, this team KNOWS how to win. Next game (after rusty 1st game layoff) should be a LOT more in sync. At the very least, double the score for the good guys.

I thought they played great. Did exactly what they should against a team with a shit gameplan like this.

There was tons of "Rempe shouldn't start today"
There is always going to be a debate around whether 4th liners should be in or out of the lineup. I wouldn't say it's a middle finger to those who debate that.

Goodrow and Vesey were also great today, but when they inevitably have 3/4 quiet games in a row, people will want to change them out (as will the coach in all likelihood).

That being said, the conversation we all need to be agreeing on is Roslovic coming out. TBH Brodz is better than him and worth a shot on that second line again if Chytil can't go. He's at least somewhat defensively responsible.

Where are all the Goodrow critics on here? No insulting comments? Are they admitting they knownothing about hockey on here now? Just asking, I think it’s a fair question.

Caps have no depth and our 3rd line is quietly an excellent possession line. Our 3rd line is going to continually dominate play when they are out there - even if it doesn't convert to goals as much. Gives our guys a good break and puts pressure on the other team.
And this is quietly a very, very good observation. Great job.

Not a fan of the reffing but everything else was as good as could be expected.

Refs calling weak ones early then ignoring blatant fouls on both clubs for the purposes of what? Game management? Equality?

Sets a bad precedent. A penalty is a penalty. Hope we get someone else for game 2.
They let Wilson do whatever he wanted away from the play. Steaming pile that guy is. I hope someone blindsides him one day.

Bad day for the KAM haters out there. Led the team in TOI and was excellent.
Gotta give the coach some credit. He united two guys who are capable of doing well on the second pair while demoting one who really isn't as good as the younger guys.
Schneider and Miller have already played tough playoff hockey. They are only gonna get better,.
