Clearly it is now the Silovs era in Vancouver.

So will a 1st round pick 10 straight swap be enough for Demko?
please not

goalie performances are way too unpredictable. hellebuyck went from venzina level in the regular season to pumpkin in the playoffs. regardless of the player the devils should not invest their 1st in a trade for a goalie.

This is just crazy. Demko is the guy in VAN.

Would do Pettersson, Demko, and Boeser for them Hughes boys though.
and you know no devils fan would do this.

We’re probably gonna ride demko until free agency, or we trade him at the 2026 deadline and not now.

Schneider all over again

obviously Demko is never moving, but man if NJ had prime Schneider with this roster, they would be very good.

Schneider was so damn good his first few years in NJ. Prevented them from getting into the McDavid or Matthews sweepstakes. His first 3 years in NJ, he put up a .924 and 2.14 lol its just that the rest of the roster was dogwater

Demko isn’t going anywhere. What Silovs provides us is a cheap back up, injury insurance, and leverage in contract negotiations with Demko.

If Silovs continues to impress for a couple seasons, we can decide between him and Demko, but that time isn’t for another 2 seasons.

I may be wrong but hasn't Demko had more injuries then Schneider had pre-trade?

Assuming the devils trade for markstrom and call it a day

Not sure why the Canucks would move demko already given the minor sample size of silovs and I'm not sure the devils want to pay the freight it would cost to acquire him

Ya maybe in fantasy leagues and I think the Canucks move on from Boeser after 2 more seasons but that trade right now would be a big no from the Canucks mainly because of Demko.

So just to be clear you wouldn't give Demko Pettersson and Boeser for Jack and Luke Hughes?

Hughes and Demko and F
For G, Nemec and Hircsher?
No thanks.

Overpay for Devils that leaves them worse position wise while the Canucks would have the deepest Center depth in the last 30 years. Nemec while definitely not as good as Q. Hughes is growing fast and on an ELC. That's a lot of free capspace.

Hughes and Demko are a combined 12.85m in cap space. Those two contracts are insanely valuable, especially when paired together.

Also, as far as rating players goes, Hughes would be the best, Hischier would be the second best, and Demko would be the third-best play in the trade. You stand to lose your 2c, and a top prospect. But you gain a Norris and Vezina finalist signed through 2026-27 and 2025-26 for just a collective 12.85m.

Of course, you would make that trade. You'd make it and laugh off in the distance.

Quinn>Nemec>Nico>>>>>Demko in terms of value in that trade

3 years of a top 15C at 7.25 mill
2 years of a top pairing caliber D at 900k+4 years of RFA control
3 years of a norris caliber D at 7.85 mill
2 years of an elite goalie at 5 mill.

Demko isn't available.

If anything, you should be offering Alvin a cashiers cheque for ten million dollars in exchange for Ian Clark
