if marner wants to come here so bad he can pull a JT and sign as a free agent in 2025 without the isles coughing anything up to aquire him . maybe easton cowen wins the calder and marner can call him the kid that won the calder during his presser at UBS

Mariner is very talented for sure. He is a perimeter player, something that does not bold well for playoff time. If you know that when acquiring him, then you need to build around that in other players. If you don’t as the GM, then that’s on you (Dubas mainly, Treviling).

To think someone is going to pull the Gillies/Bertuzzi thing and it’s going to work, good luck, it ain’t.
