I never thought Hynes was a “bad” coach. I felt Lindy was not a top tier coach but not a bad one.

Green is shit though. This team is no better defensively than under Ruff and all the offensive pressure is gone.

Green is the worst head coach we've had since the beginning of last decade. I'm convinced he's the SECOND WORST head coach we've ever had, but I didn't know the game well enough in the 80s to say if he was worse than some of the earlier coaches in franchise history. I think there's a case to be made that he's worse than most or all of them.

The only reason he isn't the worst head coach in the history of the organization is because the one guy that's worse than him is the WORST HEAD COACH IN THE HISTORY OF HOCKEY.

No one will ever be able to be the worst coach the New Jersey Devils have ever had because of MacLean.

Green may be the second worst though.

And he was BAD long before he ever got here or even got fired from his last job.

He's also one of the most hated people in Vancouver, behind Mark Messier and maybe nobody.

This was almost a supernatural experience for me.
