I was thinking about Cousins getting demoted to the 4th line...he may do worse there than when he was on the 2nd. If he couldn't do much playing with Benny and Tkachuk...not sure playing with Stenlund and Lombo gets better.

I can't emphasize how little I care about this minor deal but I've never been a fan of signing washed up losers looking for their 1st Cup who are retiring after the season.

Injuries will happen and guys are going to miss some games eventually. To have NHL-ready players available to step up when called upon is huge for us.

Great piece for the bottom 6 and at virtually no cost.

He's a solid player that's responsive defensively and still fairly physical. I really like this move. Way better than who I expected Zito to get.
