I can't emphasize how little I care about this minor deal but I've never been a fan of signing washed up losers looking for their 1st Cup who are retiring after the season.

Okposo suffered a freak head injury that nearly killed him, literally went insane and somehow was able to come back and be a useful NHL for years against all odds. Why would you NOT want a guy like that in your locker room?

His numbers don't look too bad this year. Pretty bad to only have 20 playoff games with 1000+ games overall though.

I like it. You can never have enough depth for a playoff run. Remember how beat up we were last year? Remember how screwed our line up was without Luostarinen?

Injuries will happen and guys are going to miss some games eventually. To have NHL-ready players available to step up when called upon is huge for us.
